  • Are non-Catholic guests invited to attend the Ceremony?
    Of course, everyone is invited to Mass! If you feel that you or your family cannot attend Catholic Mass due to personal reasons, then please know that we understand and look forward to seeing you at the reception!
  • What's the best way to RSVP?
    We prefer that you RSVP right through this website on the RSVP page. The password to access your RSVP is RYANANDCLAIREE2024
  • When is the RSVP deadline?
    The RSVP Deadline is June 01, 2024.
  • Are guests' children invited?
    Yes children are invited! We do ask that if you do not see your child's name on the invitation to reach out to us to confirm we have them listed, otherwise they may not be included in the head count nor will there be a seat available for them the day of. Please be aware that the ceremony will be a full Catholic Mass which is approximately one hour long. We encourage guests with children to bring some quiet activities for them to do during Mass and to step out with them if needed during the ceremony.
  • What is the dress code?
    The dress code for our wedding is formal attire (suit and tie for men and midi dresses, floor-length gowns, or dressy separates for women) in any color. Please note that the venue does not permit blue jeans or sneakers.
  • What time does the reception end?
    10:00 PM. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay at the Embassy Club!
  • Will there be an after-party?
    No, there will not be a planned after-party. Although, if you want to continue the party, Court Ave Entertainment District is just a few blocks from the Hotel Block.
  • What time should guests arrive for the ceremony?
    12:30 - 12:55 PM
  • What time should guests arrive for cocktail hour?
    Anytime between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM
  • What is there to do during the two-hour break between the ceremony and cocktail hour?

  • Are there any events outdoors?
    There are no planned outdoor events, as St. Ambrose Cathedral is less than a block from the Embassy Club. For this reason, we encourage you to bring an umbrella just in case it rains. Also, there will be a break between the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour, and encourage you to tour and see downtown Des Moines.
  • Is there parking for guests at the Hotel Room block?
    As we have three hotel blocks, we encourage guests to reach out to their hotel and determine where they should be parking for their hotel.
  • Will transportation be provided from the Hotel to the Church, the Church to the Reception Venue, and the Reception Venue back to the Hotel?
    There will not be transportation provided as all planned events are within a one-block radius and therefore within walking distance. If you choose to stay at another hotel outside our hotel room block or recommended hotel, you will need to organize your own transportation.
  • Is there parking for guests at the Reception Venue?
    We recommend the 9th and Locust Garage in downtown Des Moines, though this parking garage does require a parking fee.
  • Will transportation be provided from the airport to the hotel room block?
    Depends! Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee airport shuttles as they depend upon hotel availability. We encourage all of our guests flying to Iowa to check with your hotel ahead of time.
  • Is there parking for guests at the Cathedral?

  • May guests take pictures during the reception?
    Yes! We invite you to snap, record, and share every memorable moment during the reception. From the lively dance floor to heartfelt toasts, feel free to document the laughter, love, and pure bliss that fills the air!
  • May guests take pictures during the ceremony?
    Unfortunately no. We (and the Catholic Church) kindly request that you embrace the beauty of the Sacrament of Matrimony and refrain from taking photos during this sacred occasion. Trust the professional photographers to expertly document each precious moment, ensuring that every smile, tear, and loving glance is preserved for eternity.
  • May guests share photos to social media?
    Yes! Share your favorite shots, create lasting memories, and spread happiness! Please feel free to use #ClaireeAndRyan2024 and tag us on Social Media, so we can find them later.
